            Role play - Igra uloga

 

Uputstvo: Dijaloge treba naučiti tako da učenici budu spremni

za obje uloge te da znaju i prevesti sve rečenice, odgovore

i pitanja u oba smjera (sa eng na bos i sa bos na eng).

Kada je nešto napisano u zagradi to znači da učenici mogu

i jednu i drugu opciju iskoristiti. Kada je nešto odvojeno

kosom crtom to znači da učenici biraju jednu od ponuđenih

opcija za nastavak razgovora ili reakciju. Tačkice znače

da učenici dodaju podatke za sebe.

 

 

Level 1

 

Dijalog # 1 :  Introducing yourself

A: Hello (Hi), my name is...........

B: Hello (Hi), I'm (my name is) .................. Nice to meet you.

A: I live in................What about you? (Where do you live)?

B: I live in ................ Do you have any hobbies?

A: Yes, my hobby is ............ And you?

B: I like to...................

A: Can you tell me your last name again?

B: It's ................

A: Can you spell it for me?

B: Of course. It's  _  _  _ _ _  _ _

 

Dijalog # 2 :  Checking on a situation 

A: Hi. How's it going? (How's everything)?

B: Fine thanks. Just one thing. Can I have a glass of water please?

A: Sure. I'll get some for you. Anything else?

B: Nothing for now. Thank you.

A: You're welcome.

 

Dijalog # 3 :  Talking about routines

A: What do you do on weekends?

B: Well, I usually watch TV, listen to music and do some homework. What about you?

A: I like to go for a run or play some sports. I usually prepare for Monday and school week.

B: Do you go out with your friends every Saturday?

A: No, sometimes we go out and sometimes I stay home and watch TV. And you?

B: I almost always go out on Saturday.

 

 

Dijalog # 4 :  Offering food and drink

A: Would you like anything to eat or drink?

B: Yes. I would like a cup of tea and a sandwich.

A: No problem. What sort of tea and sandwich would you like?

B: I would like fruit tea and a tuna sandwich.

A: Ok. I'll get you both in a minute.

B: Thank you very much.

A: Don't mention it.

 

 

Dijalog # 5 :  Shopping

A Salesperson: Good afternoon. How can I help you?

B Customer: Good afternoon. I’m looking for a sweater — in a size medium.

 A Salesperson: Let’s see…here’s a nice white one. What do you think?

B Customer : I think I like blue more.

A Salesperson: OK…here’s blue, in a medium. Would you like to try it on?

B Customer : OK…yes, I love it. It fits perfectly. How much is it?

A Salesperson: It’s $50. It will be $53 with tax.

B Customer: Perfect! I’ll take it. Here's $ 100.

A Salesperson: Thank you. Here's your change. $ 47

 

 

 

Level 2

 

Dijalog # 6 :  On the phone /taking a message/

A: Hello.

B (caller): Hi, is this Leslie?

A: Yes. Who's this?

B: It's Maria. Is Susan in? (Is Susan home?)

A: No, she's out at the moment. Can I take a message?

B: Yes, thanks. Could you tell her to call me?

A: Of course. Could you just give me your number?

B: Sure. It's 061 442 356.

A: OK. I'll tell her (I will tell her).

B: Thank you very much. Have a nice day. Bye for now.

A: You too. Bye bye.

 

Dijalog # 7 :  Taking the bus

A: Excuse me, does this bus go to the main station?

B (driver): No, you have to get off after the mall and take number 10.

A: OK. Can you tell me where exactly do I get off?

B: Sure. After we pass the lake you get off at the next stop.

A: I understand. Thanks for your help.

B: You're welcome.

 

Dijalog # 8:  HOTEL conversations

Making Reservations

Receptionist: Good morning. Welcome to The Grand Woodward Hotel.
Client: Hi, good morning. I'd like to make a reservation for the third weekend in September. Do you have any vacancies?
R: Yes sir, we have several rooms available. How long will you be staying?
C: I'll be staying for two nights.
R: Can you tell me more about your reservation?
C: It's for two people, we would like a double bedded room.
R: OK. Your room is room number 45.

Checking in

Hotel: Good afternoon. Welcome to the Grand Woodward Hotel. How may I help you?
Guest: I have a reservation for today. It's under the name of Jones.
Hotel: Can you please spell that for me, sir?
Guest: Sure. J-O-N-E-S.
Hotel: Yes, Mr. Jones. We have reserved a double bedded room for you. Here are your keys. Number 45, third floor.
Guest: Thanx, and what time is check-out?
Hotel: At midday, sir.
Guest: Ok, thanks.
Hotel: My pleasure, sir. Have a wonderful stay at the Grand Woodward Hotel.

Checking out

Hotel: Did you enjoy your stay with us?
Guest: Yes of course. We had a great time.
Hotel: Great, How would you like to pay?
Guest: I'll pay with my Visa thanks, but I'll need a receipt.
Hotel: Absolutely. There you are. Thank you for your stay.

Guest: Thank you very much for your service. Goodbye.

Dijalog # 11:  Making a doctor's appointment

 

Doctor's Assistant: Good morning, Doctor Jensen's office. How may I help you?
Patient: Hello, I'd like to make an appointment to see Doctor Jensen, please.

 

Doctor's Assistant: Fine, what is your name?
Patient: Maria Sanchez.

 

Doctor's Assistant: Thank you, Ms. Sanchez.  What's the reason for the appointment?
Patient: I haven't been feeling very well lately.

 

Doctor's Assistant: Do you need urgent care?
Patient: No,  but I'd like to see the doctor soon.

 

Doctor's Assistant:  Of course, how about next Monday at 10 in the morning?
Patient: I'm afraid I'm working at 10. Is there anything available after three?

 

Doctor's Assistant: Let me see. Not on Monday, but we have a three o'clock opening next Wednesday. Would you like to come in then?
Patient: Yes, next Wednesday at three would be great.

 

Doctor's Assistant:  All right, so we'll see you at three o'clock next Wednesday.
Patient: Thank you for your help.

 

Doctor's Assistant: You're welcome. Goodbye.
Patient: Goodbye.

 

 

Dijalog # 12:  An Interview at the shopping mall

 

Interviewer: Good evening, I hope you don't mind answering a few questions.

Candidate: How long will it take?

 

Interviewer: Just a few questions.​

 

Candidate: I guess I can manage to answer a few questions. Go ahead.

 

Interviewer: I'd like to ask your opinion about consumer electronics. As far as consumer electronics is concerned, which is the most reliable brand?

 

Candidate: I'd say that Samsung is the most reliable brand.

 

Interviewer: Which brand is the most expensive?

 

Candidate: Well, Samsung is also the most expensive brand. I guess that's why it's the best.

 

Interviewer: Which brand do you think is the worst?

 

Candidate: I think LG is the worst. I really can't remember using any of their products that I liked.

 

Interviewer: And which brand is the most popular with young people?

 

Candidate: That's a difficult one to answer for me. I think that Sony is probably the most popular with young people.

 

Interviewer: One last question, Have you tried using any HP products?

 

Candidate: No, I haven't. Are they good?

 

Interviewer: I enjoy using them. But I didn't stop you to tell you what I think. Thank you for your time.

 

Candidate: Not at all.
